For as long as I can remember, I have always been intrigued by football fanatics with all their expectations that everyone should be just as obsessed with the sport as they are. Some people just don’t see the point of watching 22 men chase a piece of leather around for 90+ minutes. This does not benefit the world at all.

Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t dislike football and I do respect the athletes that play it but the fans can sometimes be another story. They will condemn you as less of a man if you don’t watch football or support a club. That being said, their passion does have to be noted

Not too long ago, I was discussing many things motor related with a lot of car enthusiasts and the point of passion came up. We all agreed that a person has to be deeply passionate about everything they do, work related or not, because life is simply too short to do anything that doesn’t get your blood pumping.

When you are passionate about whatever it is that you’re doing, whether its work or simply a hobby, you will pay much more attention to detail and the results will be close to something that is perfect in every detail.

Life can be a real buzz kill sometimes with all its ups and downs and it sometimes has the ability to suck the fun out of everything we do, even things that we once loved. But I’m here to tell you that all is not lost and there is a simple solution:

Become a petrolhead. Being a petrolhead opens doors to a whole new outlook on life and you and your car will become closer than ever, a friend of sorts that you will share your ideals and secrets with. Your car will become part of your personality and there is the perfect car for everyone.

If you own a farm, get a bakkie that can help you carry heavy loads from here to there or if you’re a lawyer, you can get yourself a sleek piece of German engineering to match your suit and your confidence. Or maybe you’ve got a need for speed and you need a low riding machine that will take you from 0 to next week Tuesday in under five seconds.

Whatever the case is, being a petrolhead becomes a lifestyle. Motors24 can connect you with everything motor related from car news and events to the latest trends and car talk, who’s in, who’s out and what’s coming next.
